SiteGround Renewal Settings For Hosting, Domains & Add-Ons

In this video I explain how to manage the SiteGround renewal settings for hosting, domains and add-ons.

You can manually set the renewal settings for all hosting plans, domains and add-ons you have in SiteGround.

For example, you can set whether an automatic renewal should take place after the billing cycle has expired. You can also set which billing cycle you prefer.

My advice is to check the renewal settings carefully so that you do not accidentally expire your domain or hosting and therefore your website no longer works.

On the other hand, it may also be the case that you no longer need a certain domain or hosting plan and then of course you do not want them to be automatically renewed, which means you have unnecessary costs.

In this video I show you step by step how to manage the renewal settings in SiteGround.

Table of Contents

SiteGround renewal settings for hosting plans

To manage the SiteGround renewal settings for hosting plans you need to log in to the dashboard and go over to the Services option and click on it.

Go SiteGround Services option in menu

Now you can see two different tabs, hosting and the other one is domains.
So, make sure it’s set to hosting.

Click on manage for the SiteGround hosting plan that you want to manage the renewal settings for.

Select Hosting Tab Go SiteGround Services option in menu

Now you can see this screen and over here you need to click on the three dots.

There you can find the option for the renewal settings, so click on it.

Over here you can see auto renewal off on and over here it’s set to on. So that means that it will automatically renew the subscription and the billing cycle is 12 months. So that’s what I want. But if you don’t want this plan to be automatically renewed, then you need to make sure to switch this option off.

SiteGround renewal settings for domains

Now I’m going to show you how you can manage the renewal settings for the domains. So again, go over to the services tab and go to the domain tab.

Over here you can see all the domains that are connected to your SiteGround hosting plan. Go to the domain that you want to manage the renewal settings for, click on Manage again.

Again, you can see that this option is turned on. But if you don’t want to automatically renew a domain then you need to turn this off so. That’s how you do it for the domains.

SiteGround renewal settings for add-ons

The Last thing I want to show you is how you can manage the renewal settings for add-ons in case you have those. First you need to click on the Services tab again and after that click on the Domain tab.

Now go to a domain which has an add-on.
For this domain I have added the domain privacy add-on. You can see by this notification that is turned on. Click on the manage option to see the domain settings.

Now click on Extras.

There you can see that the domain privacy add-on has been added. And if you click on the three dots then you can see the renewal settings.

Here you can see that now it’s turned on. So that means that it will automatically renew every 12 months. But if you want to cancel the subscription once the billing cycle is ended, then you have to make sure to switch this off.

So that’s how you can do it for the add-ons.
