Manage SiteGround Autoupdate settings

You first need to log in into your Site Tools panel for the website that you want to set up the autoupdate setting for.

In the Site Tools panel you need to go over to the WordPress options and there you will see the Autoupdate settings and you need to click on it.

Go To Site Tools panel and select Autoupdate

Now you can do the settings for the autoupdates.

The first option is the Major Release and by default it’s set on 24 hours, but you can also set it to immediate or something else.

Second option is Minor Release and it usually include important security and bug fixes. Therefore, it is recommended to immediate update this release.

The last option is for Update Plugins to keep your plugins up to date which is highly recommended. That’s why I always make sure this option is enabled.

Now go to the WordPress dashboard to the Plugins overview.

Over here you can manage the automatic update settings for each plugin.

To do this you just need to make sure enabled is selected.

It’s also better for security reasons to automatically update your plugins so you have the latest version available.

The same goes for themes, also make sure that they are also updates whenever a new version is available. You can manage the settings by going to Appearance in the WordPress dashboard and click on Themes.

If you now select a theme by clicking on, is you can enable or disable the auto-updates.

So also make sure that your themes are auto-updated.
