Create Your Desired Homepage

Before you can set a page as your homepage, you’ll need to create the page you want to feature. This page can be named anything you like. In my case, I’ve named it “Home” for obvious reasons. If you’re unsure how to create pages, check out my other tutorials on page creation.

Now, let’s make the magic happen. Find the page you want to set as your homepage. In my case, it’s the “Home” page, which serves as the default homepage for my website.

Go To WordPress Site Settings

With your chosen homepage in mind, it’s time to head to your site settings. In your dashboard, click on “Settings,” then select “Reading.” This is where you’ll configure your homepage settings.

Set a Page as the Homepage

In the “Reading” settings, locate the “Your homepage displays” section. You’ll want to choose the “A static page” option. This ensures that your website’s homepage will display a static page rather than your latest posts.

Lastly, choose which page you want to serve as your homepage. Click on the dropdown menu under “Homepage” to see the list of pages you’ve created. In my case, I’ve selected “Home” as my homepage.
