Create a Under construction & Coming soon page With Elementor in WordPress

I will start off by creating a new page and therefore I go to the WordPress dashboard.

The page is named Example 1 and I have opened it in the Elementor editor.

At this point only the page title that I have entered in the WordPress dashboard is being displayed along with the header and with the footer.

But let’s say for the coming soon or the under construction page I only want to display the text that is necessary and I don’t want to show all the other stuff like the header and footer.

Then the first thing I’m going to do is hide this page title and you can do it by clicking on the settings options over here at the bottom at the left.

Go To Elementor Page Settings

Now you can select this option over here to hide the page title.

Another way to do this, and that’s the option I would recommend you to do is go to the page layout options and instead of default you need to select the Elementor full canvas option.

Elementor Canvas page layout Hide Page title Go To Elementor Page Settings

As you can see the header, footer and page title are no longer being displayed on the canvas after the page has reloaded.

Now you can set up the page and you can create it completely from scratch.

You can also upload a template from the Elementor library. For example you can search for coming soon or under construction pages and pick a template you like by clicking on the green insert button.

Now you can style the page completely as you want it to be. After you’re done you need to click on the green update button to save the settings.

Set Under construction / Coming soon page as homepage (static page) in WordPress

If you want to display the Under construction or Coming soon page as the homepage for the website you need to set it up in the WordPress dashboard.

Go to the Settings option in the menu and then you need to go to the Reading options and click on it.  Over at the static page options you need to select the page you have created for the coming soon or under construction page.

Now the Under construction or Coming Soon page is set as the homepage for the website.
