In this tutorial I want to show you how you can create an error 404 page with Elementor for your WordPress website.
An error 404 page is displayed when a false URL is entered for your website. If you don’t want to display a default error 404 page, you can set up a nice template with Elementor.
In this tutorial I will explain exactly how to do that.

Create Error 404 Page Template with Elementor
First let’s go over to the WordPress dashboard and go to Elementor and below that you see the Templates option that you need to click on.

After the page is loaded you need to click on All over here in the corner at the left.

Now you can see all different templates over here and in this case we need to go over to the tab at the right with error 404 and you need to click on it

As you can see I haven’t created an error 404 page yet so that’s what I’m going to do now.
Go over to the green button Add new error 404 and click on it.

Now you can name your template and let’s call this error 404 template, but you can enter any given name for the template. After you have filled in a name you can click on the green button create template.

Create Error 404 Page Template with Elementor
Now the Elementor editor will be loaded and now you can see that over at the blocks tab that this has been set already to 404 page.
Here you can see all kind of professional looking designs for 404 pages so you can select one.
If you don’t want to make use of template, you can also design everything from scratch.
But I always like to use templates because it saves you a lot of time and I’ll select a random template by clicking on insert.

Now wait for the template to being displayed on your page.
Design 404 page
With Elementor you can customize everything exactly how you want it to be as I have explained in other tutorials in more details.
Save settings & add conditions for Error 404 page template
After you’re done designing and completely satisfied with how the page is looking you need to save the settings by clicking on the green button.

Now you can add a condition and scroll down and go over to 404 page. Select it and then you need to click on save and close.
